Presentation A young man presents with epigastric and right upper quadrant discomfort. An ultrasound of the abdomen was performed.

Description: The gallbladder is distended containing echogenic layering debris within the lumen. The gallbladder wall is of normal thickness. A shadowing calculus [as pointed by the arrow] is seen obstructing the neck of the gallbladder.
Caption: Transverse view of the gallbladder
Description: The layered debris (sludge) within the gallbladder are well seen in this image. This represents Mucocele of the gallbladder which is non-inflammatory distention of the gallbladder. This is due to chronic obstruction by the calculus at the neck of the gallbladder.
