Caption: Sagittal and transverse views of the gall bladder
Description: The gallbladder is distended with fluid that has uniform echogenicity similar to that of liver – suggestive of mucoid nature of the fluid. The gallbladder wall is of normal thickness.

Caption: Views of the neck of the gallbladder
Description: A calculus is seen obstructing the neck of the gall bladder, which is most likely responsible for the chronic longstanding non-inflammatory distention of the gallbladder.

Differential Diagnosis Mucocele of the gallbladder

Follow Up The ultrasound findings were surgically confirmed.
