Right ovarian torsion

Presentation A 27 year old woman presented with severe acute right adnexal pain of 10 hours duration. A pelvic ultrasound was performed.

Description: The right ovary appears enlarged, heterogeneous and shows a few small cystic areas at its periphery. The visualized uterus and the endometrial cavity appear normal. A small amount of free fluid is noted adjacent to the uterus.
