Case report
The images below show a case of a fetus with trisomy 18 obtained at 21 weeks of pregnancy. We could observe several abnormalities on the fetus:

dilated thick-walled urinary bladder;

umbilical cord cyst;
-
bilateral hyperechoic hypoplastic kidneys;
-
bilateral plexus choroid cyst (Figure N°3A);
-
hypoplastic ears;
-
club feet;
-
abnormal position of the fingers of the hands;
-
unilateral cleft lip;
-
ventricular septal defect.
Images 1, 2: Image 1 shows thick-walled dilated urinary bladder of the fetus. Image 2 shows an umbilical cord cyst.

Images 3, 4: Image 3 shows hypoplastic hypoechogenic kidneys. Image 4 - 3D scan shows a club foot of the fetus.
Images 5, 6: Image 5 shows choroid plexus cysts. Image 6 - 3D detailed view of a hypoplastic fetal ear.

Images 7, 8: The images show abnormal position of fingers of the fetal hands.

Images 9, 10: Image 9 shows cleft lip. Image 10 shows a ventricular septal defect.
