Case report:
This is a 20-year-old woman without relevant obstetric history. The first scan and the triple test were normal. At 20 weeks, ultrasound scanning demonstrated a unilateral right cleft lip . No other malformations were detected.
The patient was referred to our unit at 27 weeks with the same abnormal findings (Image 1-5). Cleft palate was absent (Image 1,2). The karyotype was 46 XX.
The patient delivered at 38 weeks. The diagnosis was confirmed.
