The speaker discusses requirements to establish consistency in standardization of strain and shear wave elastography techniques. Upon completion of this educational activity the participant will list ways to standardize techniques used in obtaining both strain and shear wave elastography, including improved rejection algorithms, changes to quality maps alerting the user to inaccurate measurements, standardized anatomic reference points and standardized protocols specific for each organ, and modification of shear wave pulse sequences.
