About This Lecture:

The speaker presents an overview of ultrasound for health care professionals new to ultrasound. Upon completion of this educational activity the participant will describe the basics of ultrasound equipment, including the proper handling of the transducer and the basic "knobology" of the equipment, distinguish between the appearance of solid tissue vs. fluid/vessels on ultrasound images, recognize basic anatomy such as the liver, spleen, kidney, aorta, thyroid, carotid artery and jugular vein.
