About This Lecture:

During this lecture the speaker discusses the various types of arthritis and the typical sonographic appearance of each. Upon completion of this educational activity the participant will differentiate between degenerative and inflammatory arthritis, review the characteristic ultrasound features of synovitis and gout and discuss why ultrasound is not the imaging modality of choice in diagnosing bony erosion.
