Moscow regions Research Institute of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Medical-Genetics Department, Russia.

Case report

This is a case of a 21-year-old primigravida with non-contributive personal or family history. She was referred to our department for a facial anomaly at 24 weeks of her pregnancy .
Our ultrasound examination revealed an epignathus, congenital oropharyngeal teratoma. This finding was associated with an enlarged amount of the amniotic fluid. Parents decided for the pregnancy termination based on the ultrasound findings. The fetus measured 25 cm and it's weight was 650 grams. Our diagnosis was confirmed by the pathologist.
