Case report

Following images show a case of sigmoid colon atresia that was seen at 22 weeks of otherwise uncomplicated pregnancy. Dilated bowel loops, normal anus and normo-hydramnios were present. The findings were suspected of distal intestinal obstruction. The newborn was delivered at term and following surgical operation revealed sigmoid colon atresia of the newborn.
