Case report

A patient was referred to our clinic at 36 weeks of gestational age due to previous diagnosis of umbilical cord cyst/mass in another institution at 29 - 30 weeks of pregnancy. The patient had no medical disease nor consanguinity.

Our ultrasound examination revealed a solid lesion arising from the fetal mouth, echogenic with mild blood flow in Doppler images. Among others, our prenatal diagnosis was congenital epulis, and it was confirmed pathologically after birth.

Images 1-6: 2D, 3D and Doppler images revealed a large solid and echogenic mass in the fetal mouth, protuding from the oral cavity. Mild vascularization was seen using color Doppler.
