Case report

25 year old G2P1 with unremarkable medical history was sent to our unit for second trimester scan. First  trimester scan was reported to be normal.

Following images and videos represent a case of tethered cord with lipomeningomyelocele.

The diagnosis was confirmed after birth. The baby was operated after birth and currently is doing well.


Images 1-7represent spinal lipoma and low lying conus medullaris with meningomyelocele. Compare with the normal fetuses with normal position of the conus medularis ending at the level of L2-L3. 

       


Videos 1 and 2: represent spinal lipoma and low lying conus medullaris with meningomyelocele. Compare with the normal fetuses with normal position of the conus medularis ending at the level of L2-L3.
