Triploidy: Partial Mole

Case report
This is a video clip of the first ultrasound examination of a 42-year-old G3P2 at 16 weeks.
A large cystic hygroma is seen. Also note the placenta’s size and appearance with multiple vesicles.
A video clip at 24-week examination shows again the placental appearance, alobar holoprosencephaly and a hydronephrotic horseshoe kidney.
Fetal Biometry showed 5-week discordance with gestational age calculated by LMP.

The following images were obtained in that same examination:
Oligohydramnios

Microphthalmia.

Tricuspid valve severe regurgitation. There is also a
video-clip which shows this anomaly. Another video-clip shows a very abnormal 4 chamber view with a severe dilation of the right atrium. 
Mild ascites.

Bilateral hydronephrosis.


An amniocentesis was performed and fetal karyotype was 69, XXY
