Transposition of the great arteries

Case report:

This is a case of transposition of the great arteries. Patient was a 21 year old, first pregnancy, no family history of congenital heart diseases. The ultrasound was performed at 20 weeks and showed ventricular septal defect, aorta arising from right ventricle, pulmonary artery from left ventricle, no other anomalies. The patient delivered at term, the transposition was confirmed, and the baby underwent cardiac surgery.
