Spina bifida, lumbo-sacral, 16 weeks

Case report

Following images and videos shows a case of lumbo-sacral spina bifida diagnosed at 16 week of gestation in a 42-year-old woman (G2P1) with non-contributive history. There were also bilateral clubfeet present. The parents opted for the termination of the pregnancy.

Images 1, 2: The images show lemon shaped skull and abnormal shape of the cerebellum.


Images 3, 4: The images show coronal and sagittal scan of the fetal spine with spina bifida (arrows).


Videos 1, 2: The videos show club feet and spinal defect of the fetus.
